Try Orbitz, Expedia, Travelocity, Priceline, Cheaptickets, or your favorite search engine for the best deals – students have frequently saved money doing these options with packaged airline, hotel, and rental car.

Accepted students are put in touch to begin virtual teambuilding, networking, and travel planning prior to the start date.   Carpooling, sharing room expenses, etc. has been a common event in past years.

Places to Stay Brookwood Inn 919-286-3111 -- modest accomodations, easy walking distance to Duke, shuttle available.  A bit overpriced for what you get but perhaps the most convenient.  They keep changing their web link...

Durham Hilton     3800 Hillsborough Road in Durham 919-383-8033     Ask about shuttle service (will need a car if they don't commit)

Durham Hotels     Comprehensive list (find the hotels link) or try your favorite search engine!

Homestead Suites     1920 Ivy Creek Blvd. in Durham. 1-888-LODGING (563-4464) Near Duke but you'll want a rental car -- one student talked them down to a $39/night rate in 2002!   They have wireless for under $5 for the duration of your campus session.

Homewood Suites 3600 Mt. Moriah Road in Durham.   919-401-0610   Near Duke but you'll want a rental car -- this one was favored by many students in the past - usually about $79/night but plenty of room for 2

Many students have combined on-campus weekends with family vacations to the beaches, mountains, and excellent golf courses of our beautiful state!   Others have flown in, stayed quietly by themselves to decompress after intense days of campus work, and used the time to rest and relax more quietly.   Each class has built friendships and helpful professional networks that were sustained after their program was completed.
